INTRODUCTION
Naseem Nursing Institute & Public Health School Peshawar established in the year 2021 aspire to start Generic BSN and Post RN BSN programs in 2022 in order to put its share in meeting the acute shortage of nurses within the country and worldwide. The institute will prepare qualified nurses for clinical, teaching, administrative, and leadership responsibilities. The Board of Governors of NNI&PHS approved the establishment of the College of Nursing under the umbrella of JTHP within its campus to address the issue of an insufficient number of nursing professionals in the country and to cope up with new trends and requirements of health promotion and quality education. The institute is already running LHV program and is about to start two degree level programs with the approval of Pakistan Nursing Council, Khyber Medical University and Higher Education Regularity Authority as under:
- Generic BSN (4 YearsDegree Program)
- Post RN BSN (2 YearsDegree Program)
The HERA has already granted registration vide No. 500/colleges, 26/09/2022. The PNC too has carried out inspection for recognition of the institute and its approval is due now. The KMU is about to visit the institute in a couple of days for the purpose of granting affiliation. Vision Naseem Nursing Institute & Public Health School is to be a leader in nursing sciences for quality nursing education and research for the delivery of comprehensive and compassionate healthcare services.
Objectives
- To produce competent and qualified nursing professionals who could provide nursing care with evidence-based practice.
- To graduate nursing students who will be capable to acquire licensure as Registered Nurse.
- To provide high-quality education using multiple innovative techniques for practical involvement of the students.
- To provide quality education according to the recommendation of the Pakistan Nursing Council (PNC), sociocultural norms, values, and global trends in nursing profession.
- To educate nurses with appropriate knowledge, skills, attitudes, and clinical competencies.
- To elevate the image of the nursing profession through demonstration of role modeling.
- To promote research in nursing education.
